The Cluj Community Foundation is a local private grant maker linking community needs and organisations with local and national donors. It is organising fundraising events, as the Cluj Swimathon or the Donor Circles, and it manages corporate and individual named funds that are directed towards the community needs as grants and scholarships. Between 2008 and 2016 has awarded grants worth 778.796,44 lei for 30 grants and for 8 scholarships.
CCF is part of a national network of 16 organisations covering 45% of the country’s population. A total of over 800.000 were invested in community support through CFs in Romania since 2008.
Our vision for Romania is to have active, engaged, creative, caring and lively communities that can identify the talents and resources within, that can support its inhabitants and can evolve together, adapting to new opportunities and challenges.
The Cluj Community Foundation is a founder member of the Romanian Federation of Community Foundations.
